Calcium "Cal"

Cal didn't set out to be a model. He was just standing there — like he always does — looking unbothered, and someone pointed a camera at him. He's been doing it ever since. Former accountant. Current skeleton. Full-time 'I'd rather not.' Cal found Backhand Society the same way most people do: he was tired of saying things and decided to just… wear them instead. Now he shows up, stands still, and somehow says everything. He doesn't smile. He doesn't have to.

Patience

Patience has been patient her whole life — and honestly, she's exhausted by it. She waited in line for 45 minutes at the DMV once without saying a single word. She let someone take her parking spot three times in a row. She sat through a 2-hour meeting that could have been an email — twice. People always say 'you're so calm' like it's a compliment. It's not. It's a survival strategy. Patience found Backhand Society because she needed a way to say what she's been holding in for years. Now she lets the shirt do it for her. She models the Relax Karen tee because it's the most honest thing she's ever worn.

Stitch

Not every statement belongs on a shelf.

Some are personal. Some are sarcastic. Some are the words people wish they had said in the moment. That's where Stitch comes in.

Stitch was discovered deep within The Backhand workshop surrounded by scraps of vinyl, unfinished designs, and stacks of forgotten ideas that never made it to production. While the others focused on what the Society wanted to say, Stitch became obsessed with what you wanted to say.

The Backhand saw value in that immediately.

Now Stitch oversees Backhand Custom Creations — helping bring one-of-a-kind ideas to life for people who want something that feels personal, specific, and completely their own.

Whether it's an inside joke, a phrase that defines your mood, a statement nobody else would understand, or something you're just tired of repeating out loud, Stitch believes the best shirts are the ones that actually mean something to the person wearing them.

Every custom piece is handcrafted the same way as the rest of the Society's lineup: designed in-house, made by hand, and created to stand out.

Hex

Hex didn't walk into Backhand Society looking for peace and quiet.

He showed up uninvited, leaned against the workshop wall like he already owned the place, and immediately started commenting on everyone's shirt choices.

The Backhand kept him anyway.

Now Hex has become the Society's official trouble starter — the skeleton most likely to say the thing everyone else was thinking but knew better not to say out loud.

He's loud when he wants to be, sarcastic all the time, and somehow always standing three feet away from whatever drama just happened claiming: "I literally didn't even do anything."

Nobody believes him.

Hex gravitates toward the chaotic side of the collection: the shirts that get double takes, side-eyes, laughs, and the occasional offended stare from strangers in public. Which, according to Hex, is "part of the experience."

Underneath the attitude though, Hex represents one of the biggest parts of Backhand Society: confidence without apology.

Wear what you want. Laugh at what you want. Say it without saying it. And if somebody keeps staring? That's exactly why Hex wore the shirt.

Favorite hobby: Starting arguments he has no intention of finishing.

Drift

Nobody really knows when Drift showed up. One day he was just sitting outside Building 7 in a folding chair holding a drink, and honestly… he never really left.

Some say he used to complain about life like everybody else. Then one day something in his skull snapped. Literally. Ever since then, Drift's been running on caffeine, sarcasm, and pure acceptance.

Dumpster fire behind the apartment?
"It is what it is."

Another Karen yelling again?
"It is what it is."

Skeleton dog chewing through somebody's shoes?
"It is what it is."

Drift isn't lazy. He's evolved beyond unnecessary panic.

He's the kind of skeleton that watches chaos unfold around him while taking another sip from his cup like the world already warned him this was coming.

The "It is what it is" shirt represents that exact energy: showing up, surviving the nonsense, and keeping your sanity by realizing some things just are what they are.

According to Drift:
"Getting mad won't un-burn the trash can."
